an Important Suggestion is: YOU CAN DO ANYTHING, or Nothing
organizing is very Easy
- You don't need Sponsors
- You don't need anything else but people and a place
You need
- a Room with enough space for the invited people
- a Date, Time and open minds
- People to connect to, and invite for a MicroBarcamp
- any plan to make this event something of value
Now all pretty much depends on How many people there are involved. You can follow some pathes, which comes from experience
Amount of People
3 - 6
This amount of people can be best gathered at your, or any other home base
Its suggested to only plan one Session after another
7 - 15
this still can be handled in someones home base. You just need more room.
It also can be handled in other locations, or garages. If there are two separate rooms, you can let the group splitt, and make several sessions the same time.
16 - 30
now you realy need more room, more space, and more organisation.
30+ - 60
This is a small
BarCamp, still small, but hangs between a real
BarCamp , and a
MicroBarcamp.
You need certain Rooms, and Shedules. Its a very Small
BarCamp, but can be very Extense with this small Amount of People
Food, Drink -Catering-
When there are many people in one place somebody allways gets hungry or thirsty.
If you have less than 16 Attendees you can handle this with local Pizza Services. Best is with this small Amount of people, that everybody just pays for him/her self. You can do arrangements with collecting some money from the participants beforehand, buying some drinks or so.
Its totaly Up to You how you manage this, and it depends on the situation you have how you handle it.
(later on there might be more suggestions about this, but for now you have to find out yourself).
Sheduling
With small Amount of people sheduling some sessions should not be of any problem.
You need more planing if you have over 16 people, but I think anybody is mature enough to get that handled (more about this, and experiences will follow)
To set Up a Topiclist you can use

If You have ExPeriences with MicroBarcamps just write them down here in the Wiki to share them with others.
Slowly this will be a Database where others can learn from as the idea spreads
